MARY GUNTZVILLER, ARTIST & INSTRUCTOR

10/08/17

Just back from Road Scholar. Best week ever. Great weather, great group. Added a Plein Air (painting on site) demo at the local pumpkin Farm while the photographers practiced their skills on me and the pumpkins. That was a blast, will do that every year!

Going to enter the 3 resin pieces in the Crooked Tree, TC & Petoskey, MI Show; "Hand in Hand: Craft & New Technologies Show" online deadline, November 4, 2017 .

Have 3 weeks to go till full time in Studio. Taking a watercolor class in Glen Arbor from Don Andrews, national watercolor figure artist, next week.

Have to go downstate for family the following week.

Still have to finish painting the inside of the house. Ha. May never finish THAT!

9/12/17

Trying to paint the inside of the house. Getting ready for Road Scholar, 1st week in October, week-long workshop.

7/30/17

Had to abandon studio work (for now), getting ready for classes about how a painting is like putting together a puzzle, at Glen Arbor; Paint-out at Glen Arbor; back to teaching acrylic about perspective at Cordia, TC in Aug, 2017.

Hopefully will get back to my resin birds after that!

I recently returned from taking a SUSAN CARLSON class in Wisconsin. She taught me to look at the patterns in fabric in a whole new way! Very exciting!

Now that I have taken Carlson's class, this leaf piece will go in a whole NEW direction!!
